So after getting our first paddle boards last august, I found as a larger guy that I needed something a bit more suited for my needs and my knees...
I went from the NRS thirve 11.0 to the Bote Rackham with the tackle rack and fishing setup. This year because of the closures, much of the stuff I like to do was not an option. I got back into fishing more because I could still get out and have some fun outside. With this means I needed a change of setup. Well that and I was about 5 pounds from the max recommended weight on my Thrive so it was very sensitive and at times kinda squirrely at my weight.
After a ton of research and more YouTube than Rose could stand with me watching I settled on the Bote Rackham. 2 weeks of stalking Facebook market and a 6 hour drive later and my new slightly used baby came home.
So far this is a great upgrade and I look forward to a fun summer of paddling.
